EAHORC and the HONK Mega-track
The huge 230' permanent HO track was located at the HO North Kent club room near Chatham, and during it's short lifespan quickly reached legendary status, thanks to it having six lanes, also it's permanency, but mostly because of it's size and jaw-dropping elevation changes. These images and videos show the track off in all it's glory from inception to Oct 2012, during which time it hosted four EAHORC meetings.

Within a few years of EAHORC becoming established it was an ambition to have at least one permanent track. This swam against the tide created by those who were around pre-EAHORC, where repeated-but-temporary tracks often very loosely based on real ones ruled.
For the ground-breaking track to become more than a dream would require a big dollop of luck. But, to some degree, EAHORC makes it's own luck and that is where finding Tony Molloy came in. Once he had suitable premises he came through on his promise to give over an area to create something truly unique.
Further luck came, as part of the never-ceasing quest to find new racers, by locating Dave Hannington. It was Dave who was mostly responsible for making the track what it became.
With the track now gone the following drivers can proudly say the won A finals on what could well end up being the UK only permanent HO track, unless somebody wins the Lotto....
